alphabrand is a marketing intelligence + orchestration platform that turns your knowledge (documents + data + brand context) into structured, decision-ready outputs: insights, targeting, briefs, territories, concepts, and campaign building blocks — with traceability.

Best Practices for Great Outputs

1) Ask the right questions in Insights & Data

Use Insights & Data when you want:

  • Evidence-backed answers (with citations)
  • Synthesis across documents
  • A clear POV (what's happening + so what)

Ask questions that include:

  • Scope (market / category / brand / timeframe)
  • Decision intent ("so we can decide / prioritize / choose")

Avoid:

  • Very broad questions ("tell me everything about...") without scope
  • Mixing 3 topics in one question (split into 2–3 prompts)

2) Know when to start a new chat vs follow up

Start a new chat when you change:

  • Brand, market, category, or objective
  • The type of deliverable (from insight to concepting, from targeting to comms)
  • The source base (new set of documents)

Follow up in the same chat when you want:

  • More depth on the same topic
  • Clarifications, trade-offs, examples, or "make it more specific"

3) Attach an Insights & Data chat into an App or a Project

When you have a strong Insights & Data conversation, you can attach that chat to a Marketing App or Marketing Project to automatically carry over the right context (insights + data + evidence).

Best practice:

  • Attach the most relevant Insights & Data chat
  • If you have multiple chats, attach 1–2 max (avoid noise)

4) Use the right tool for the right outcome

Insights & Data → answers, synthesis, evidence

Use when you need to understand / validate before producing a deliverable

Marketing Apps → one clear deliverable

Use when you know what you need and want a structured output fast

Marketing Projects → multi-step progression

Use when you need end-to-end continuity and outputs that build on each other

5) Set your Brand context exhaustively

Your best outputs come from strong brand setup:

  • DNA: tone, beliefs, non-negotiables, claims rules
  • Regulatory & Commercial code: approved / forbidden claims, mandatory disclaimers
  • Ethical guidelines: inclusivity & representation, sensitive topics to avoid
  • Images: visual world, style references, do/don't
  • NPD / territories: what's on-strategy vs off-limits

6) Explore, select, refine (text + visuals) inside Apps

  • Generate & guide: start an exploration to produce cards/outputs
  • Select the best: mark the strongest outputs as Selected
  • Iterate: refine the selected option(s) through the chat
  • Edit text (long description) to sharpen alignment
  • Edit images through chat to improve illustration quality

Mini Glossary

Workspace
Your team's environment in alphabrand — members, brands, works and projects live inside a workspace.
Brand
The brand context layer used to steer outputs (DNA, images, rules, templates, territories).
Library
The place where your documents and knowledge sources are stored and organized to ground answers and outputs.
Insights & Data
The space to ask questions, synthesize learnings, and generate evidence-based POVs (often with citations).
Marketing App
A specialized tool designed to produce one specific deliverable (brief, targeting, semiotics, territories, concepts, etc.).
Exploration
A working stream inside an App where you generate options, guide outputs through chat, select the best, and iterate.
Marketing Project
A multi-step workflow where outputs build on each other (innovation or campaign planning).

Setup & Administration

Setup & Administration covers everything you configure before running Insights, Apps, or Projects: your account, workspace access, and brand context.

You'll do 4 things here:

  1. Create / access your account (registration & login)
  2. Configure your user settings (profile + security)
  3. Set up your workspace (members + governance basics)
  4. Set up brands (DNA, images, territories, templates, rules)

Getting Started Checklist

Goal: be ready to produce on-brand outputs in minutes.

  1. Create your account / login
  2. Complete user settings (name, security)
  3. Join or create a workspace
  4. Invite teammates (optional)
  5. Create a brand
  6. Fill brand context (DNA + rules + visuals + territories + templates)
  7. (Optional) Set category settings if your category requires strict framing
  8. Run your first Insights & Data question or App output

Registration & Login

Registration

  • Register using your email (or SSO if enabled for your organization)
  • Validate your email when prompted
  • If your org uses invites, accept the workspace invitation before you can access internal brands/works

Login & access

  • Log in using your chosen method (email/SSO)
  • If you have access to multiple workspaces, make sure you're in the correct one (workspace switcher)

Common issues

  • "I can't see anything after login" → you may not be in the right workspace or you haven't been invited yet
  • "My invite link expired" → request a new invite from the workspace admin

User Settings

Profile

  • Update your name and avatar (used across collaboration and attribution)
  • Confirm your primary email (use the one tied to your org access)

Security

  • Update password / authentication method (depending on what's enabled)
  • Review connected accounts (Google/Microsoft etc., if enabled)
  • Use best practice: keep one professional identity per workspace

Workspace Settings

Control who is in the workspace and how teams operate.

Members & access

  • Invite members (internal team, agencies if allowed)
  • Remove members when projects end
  • Keep access clean: only invite people who need to work on the brands/projects inside

Governance basics

  • Admins (workspace setup + members)
  • Brand owners (brand context + templates)
  • Contributors (run apps/projects and edit outputs)

Brand Settings

Brand settings are the single biggest quality lever in alphabrand.

Brand context (what to fill exhaustively)

  • AI Context Prompt (Settings tab)
  • DNA (DNA tab): tone, beliefs, non-negotiables, vocabulary, claims rules
  • Regulatory & commercial code: approved/forbidden claims, disclaimers

Insights & Data

Insights & Data lets you ask questions and get answers grounded in your Library documents (Insights mode) or connected datasets (Data mode).

Library

The Library is the document base used to answer questions in Insights.

What's on the Library screen

  • Brand files / Insights files toggle
  • Search (find files fast)
  • Import (add documents)
  • Connections (e.g., Azure / Google) to connect sources

Insights

Use Insights to build evidence-backed answers and POVs from your Library documents.

How it works

  • Click New Chat
  • Ask a question about your documents
  • Refine with follow-up questions in the same chat

Data

Use Data to answer questions that require numbers, trends, growth, contribution, etc.

Best practice

Ask for a clear metric + timeframe + split:

  • "Net value by product line between 2022 and 2024"
  • "Top 5 increases / decreases by absolute change"

Conversation History

Your conversation history is your "research memory": reuse strong threads instead of restarting.

  • Browse past chats by title
  • Re-open a thread and continue the reasoning
  • Use a strong thread as a basis to feed Apps/Projects

Attach Chat to Apps/Projects

Attach a proven Insights/Data thread to reuse the right context when generating deliverables in Apps or running Projects.

Best practice: Attach the most relevant chat(s) only (avoid noise).

Marketing Apps

Marketing Apps are specialized generators designed to produce one clear marketing deliverable. They turn brand context + optional attached insights into structured outputs you can refine and reuse.

Create a New Work

How to start

  • Work Name: name your output (recommended: Market + Objective + Date)
  • Type: choose the App type (the deliverable you want)
  • Brand: select the brand context to apply
  • Click Get Started

Explorations

Inside an App, an Exploration is how you generate multiple output cards and guide them through chat.

How it works

  • Generate initial outputs (cards)
  • Use chat to guide / refine direction
  • Mark the strongest cards as Selected
  • Iterate from the selected options to improve them

Editing Outputs

Edit text

Use the long description editor to tighten, sharpen, and align to your need

Edit image

Use chat-based image editing to improve illustrations: improve details, remove background, focus on a key element

Save and Reuse

Every App output becomes a Work you can find again and build on.

  • Find your Work in Recent Works
  • Re-open to continue refining
  • Duplicate a Work when you want a clean branch

App Templates

Templates define the structure and requirements of an App output (sections, must-haves, formatting).

Location: Manage Brands → Templates

Marketing Projects let you run multi-step workflows where each step builds on the previous one to keep end-to-end continuity.

Working Inside a Step

  • Use Approve Step when you're ready to lock the direction and move forward
  • In Innovation workflow, Targeting can be skipped

Forking Workflows

Any workflow can be forked to explore a new direction without losing the original.

When to fork:

  • Test a different territory or concept direction
  • Need a variation for another market/occasion
  • Want a "safe" branch vs a "stretch" branch

Library & Data Readiness

The Library is alphabrand's knowledge backbone. It powers Insights & Data answers, strengthens brand context, and keeps workflows grounded.

Insights Library

The Insights Library contains documents you want to query and retrieve from in Insights & Data.

What it includes

  • Category / consumer / market research
  • Trend reports, competitive scans, innovation reports
  • Measurement read-outs, learning decks, trackers
  • Any "evidence" you want to cite and reuse

Brand Library

The Brand Library contains documents that define or reinforce brand context, and documents generated by alphabrand workflows.

Two types of content

  • Brand reference files (inputs): guidelines, strategy decks, tone of voice
  • alphabrand documents (outputs): PDFs generated by workflows

Uploading Documents

How it works

  • Click Manual Upload
  • Choose the Brand
  • Drag & drop or browse to upload
  • Supported formats: docx, gdoc, pdf

External Drives

Connect cloud sources so your Insights Library can pull from shared folders.

Supported connections

  • Google Drive
  • Azure (e.g., SharePoint / OneDrive)

Data Readiness

Good inputs = better answers, safer claims, and faster workflows.

Readiness checklist

  • Relevance: documents match the business question and market
  • Freshness: updated versions, clear dates, avoid obsolete decks
  • Clarity: titles and structure that are easy to interpret
  • Consistency: one source of truth
  • Permissions: users can access what they need

Export lets you turn alphabrand outputs into shareable artifacts (PDF, copy-ready text/markdown, images).

Sharing Through Selection

In Apps and Projects, Selection is your shortlist: it defines what you're carrying forward and what you'll typically export.

Best practice: Select only what you want to defend/share.

Owners & Team Sharing

Add the right people to a Work so they can collaborate and follow progress.

  • A Work has Owners visible in the project header area
  • Open Manage Team Members to add users
  • Keep ownership explicit
